Kelly Brunette
Kelly Brunette is a Village Trustee, mom, and longtime community leader who believes local government works best when it listens first, plans carefully, and treats people with respect.
She’s spent years working in and alongside village government — asking hard questions, explaining decisions clearly, and standing up for transparency and fairness.
Kelly lives here. She’s raising her family here. And she’s running for Mayor because she believes Saranac Lake deserves steady, thoughtful leadership — not rushed decisions or surprises.
It is my belief that public service is a responsibility that we all share. I am ready and willing to contribute my time and best effort toward the well being of the community in which I live.
I want to say thank you to 9 women.
Gail Rice, Margaret Campion, Deb McDonnel, Leslie Dame, Christy Fontana, Susan Waters, Barb Rice, Melinda Little, and Zelda Newman.
Since 1892, 9 women have served on the village board. I will build upon their legacy. Because we know villages do better when there's diversity in the decision making process.
My service to our community began almost 25 years ago when I was employed by the Village of Saranac Lake for over 10 years.
My other community service includes:
As an economic development professional, active community member, volunteer, and mom of two young daughters, I will bring a fresh and relevant perspective to the village board.
My decisions will always be made with the best interests of Saranac Lake's residents in mind, and every vote I cast will be based on facts, experience, equity, dedication, concern, and above all else — understanding.
My commitment is to serve the residents of our cool little mountain village and contribute to its growth and prosperity.
My vision for Saranac Lake is for a village that is vibrant, connected, sustainable and safe.
